The Zulus are the largest tribe in Southern Africa, renowned for their artistry and craftsmanship. The women have taken this traditional art form and turned it into a way in which to supplement their incomes or in many cases, their only means of income.

The women work in their homes where they can assimilate basket-making into their normal routine, giving themseves time to raise their children, work in the fields, collect water and other daily chores.

Global Village Nanaimo uses Canada Post for shipping, unless special arrangements are made. Our shipping rates are effective for anywhere in Canada.

Shipping costs are listed for each item on our website. If you are purchasing more than one item and we are able to ship them together more efficiently, we will refund the difference. We are really nice people, so we will do whatever we can to keep those costs as low as possible and we will send you a refund if we can.
