These baskets are the result of years of practice, tremendous technical skill and quality assurance. The weavers from Bolgatanga, Ghana spend countless hours stripping and dyeing elephant grass fibre and weaving them into patterns and colourways that are unique.
The basket is biodegradable and resilient but will fade if left in the sun too long. The pattern repeats 4x around the circumference of the basket
. This large round basket is approximately 23 cm to the top of the rim and the opening is approximately 38cm across the opening.
The handles are all leather wrapped for comfort.
