These handpainted stars have been made by SILENCE - a group of artisans in India that are deaf, blind, mute or challenged in other ways.
They are people “who can neither hear nor speak except visually and others who cannot go places except in their imagination and yet who aspire towards self sufficiency”.

Global Village Nanaimo uses Canada Post for shipping, unless special arrangements are made. Our shipping rates are effective for anywhere in Canada.
We are a non-profit social enterprise, and we work within a fair trade pricing model to ensure we are able to support the vendors. That means that we need to charge fees to cover the costs of the shipping. We do not charge any handling costs, and we will continue to offer the most reasonable shipping costs possible.
